Telling stories

Today I told dad a story:

"Once upon a time there were some cars and pickup trucks on the road.
And then there was a police car and a wolf. And the police car ran
over the wolf."

Dad: Is that the end?
Me: Yes.

[few moments later]
Me: Why is that the end?
Dad: You said it was the end. Is there more?

Me: Yes.

"... and then the police car tickled the wolf."

Dad: okay that's a better ending.

Kite Day at Bay Front Park

There are all kind of kites flying. I am not feeling too good today, woke up with a little fever. But dad thought it is a good idea to get me out and breath some fresh air. All my playdates are sick too, Samuel, Ethan, and Helena. Great timing while swine flu is still in fashion.

Dad chasing me

Today dad was chasing me. First I said, "You can't catch me. I'm too fast for you."

After awhile, I started to get tired, so I said "Red light. RED LIGHT!" [this should get dad to stop, but sometimes he starts again by saying "Green light."]

Later I got really tired, so I said, "Red light. The green and yellow lights are broken."

Daddy decided to skip work today so we went to the SF zoo together.

I decided to join in the field trip class. The teacher is very nice, he shows me the eagle.

Why isn't the bear moving?

The main thing that I learned from my trip to the zoo is that bears are nice to
pet. But why doesn't this one ever move around?

Today dad asked me where the car was parked when we were leaving the park and I told them "It's around the bend". Mom was in shock since she didn't know the phrase and dad had to explain to her.

I don't want to say it loud (otherwise mom will say I watch too much TV). That's a phrase I learned from watching Thomas the Train (over and over and over).

Highlight of the day - Front row fire truck ride

Waiting in line to get onto the fire truck ride, it's been over an hour now...


Front row next to the fireman, I got to ring the bell too. It's worth the waiting then.

Role Reversal

Me: Go to bed and I will rock.
Dad: But I don't want to go to bed.
Me: Get in bed.
[dad gets in bed]

Me: Get under the covers.
[I then rock a little and then start to leave.]

Dad: Rock a little more. Rock a little more.

[After a couple of minutes dad sneaks out of the room and I catch him.]
Me: Get back in bed.
Dad: Rock a little more.
Me: I will rock more, but first I have to work. Let me go into my office.

[after a few minutes I put dad back to bed. I rock, and then I start to leave]
Dad: Rock a little more.
Me: I will get my iPod from the office and put it on my ears.

[I come back with the (pretend) iPod on my ears. Then I rock again and start to
leave. At the door, I catch dad starting to get up.]

Me: GET BACK IN BED!

Puppet show

Mom has bookclub today, Dadday brought me to see a puppet show "Tale of the Dragon Tail". This is the second time I saw it, I like it.
