Party!

Wow, all the sudden, the house is full of people - adults and kids. It's a bit overwhelming. It is hard for me to figure out who brought which kids, etc. I hear
a baby sister is coming soon - maybe this is the time when mom and dad will be
getting one? I heard enough about her these days. I need to make sure no baby get left behind and I am the only baby permanently living in this house.

Hmm, so let's check out the candidates...

Trouble, who brought Ela here? Cathy and Jim or Mark and Muge? Those five people almost arrived at the same time; I don't need to worry about Ethan and Greg since they are boys like me (mommy said I am going to be in the same school with them the coming fall, but no time to mingle today since I have a more important mission); how about Allison and Amanda? They are much older than me so I think they are safe; Leia and Louisa? they are little girls but they seem to be with their parents a lot. After this brief analysis, I decided to keep all my energy on Ela, I need to make sure she doesn't get left behind so when Cathy and Jim were ready to leave without Ela, I went crazy, cried (a good weapon to catch people's attention) and yelled at them and mom to remind them they forgot to bring their girl away with them...

Phew, false alarm! Ela belongs to Mark and Muge.

Stressful party....

Experiment

I went to egg hunt at Stanford Shopping center today after my swimming class. The baloon twister was there too promote her business. I requested a red fish (the closest you can get to Nemo). Does fish like eggs? You never know until you do the experiments.

Cough!

I got these terrible coughs these days for over a week now. Mommy and Daddy have been taking turns to care for me at night since I woke myself up in the middle of night and coughing.

This morning I woke up coughing again. I told Daddy:"I am coughing at the floor, and I am not coughing at you, since I don't want to get you sick. Then you will never never need to go to the hospital."

I didn't have my shoes on

On the way home from school,
Daddy asked:"why didn't you want to run today?"
Me:"because I didn't have my shoes on."
Daddy looked and confirmed what I told him. "Where are your shoes?"
Me:"I left them at school since they are too tight."

I have my little sister in my tommy

I told mommy I have my little sister in my tommy and she is going to pop out from my belly button on Wednesday.

My busy weekend

Today is Saturday, my favorate day of the week. Mommy told me even on Friday night that I need to prepare for a busy weekend with a lot of activity and playdates.

I started the day with my swimming class at YMCA. I really likes teacher Gina, I feel safe when I swim with her. I made great progress today, almost swimming across the pool with a small floater from Y to support me, and sometimes teacher Gina even took off the floater when I practice my back-stroke. It was fun.

After the class, I had to rush to Palo Alto Children's Museum and Zoo to meet my playdate Isabella. She is 3 weeks older than me and now her mom is having anther girl (in her tommy) who is going to be 6 weeks older than my younger sister (in my mommy's tommy). We actually met once when I was only few weeks old. Daddy had to work a little so he met us in the museum.

In the zoo:

Inside the museum: loading the tennis ball and watching it drop

After a quick nap, I went to Holbrook Palmer Park to meet with my playdates Samuel, Jessica, and Helena.

Sunday morning--church performance
Our school was invited to sing at the church today, I am actually on stage, but I am not nervous at all.

I was so exhausted with all these activities so I told mommy and daddy I would prefer to stay at home and play with my toys and listen to my story on CDs for the rest of the day.

Growing

Me: Dad you have long legs. They can reach the couch.
Dad: You are still growing so you may have long legs too.
Me: And a big mouth for eating.

Me: You've stopped stretching. But I can still stretch. [then I
demonstrated]

Running

Dad: Do you want to run to school?
Me: It's too far.
Dad: But you've run that far before.
Me: My shoes are too tight. If I wear my running shoes my
feet feel better and I can run.

Maybe Thomas is still hungry?

Maybe Thomas would like some rib sauce?

Rib is yummy!

Mommy is working late today. Daddy decided to feed me some ribs. It's Yummy! Especially fun when you can make all kinds of mess.

That was awesome, mom!

I picked up some big words from here and there so I'd like to practice using them, such as AWESOME, I really like this word because it describes my feeling really well. For example, I was walking around the neighborhood with mommy, I saw neighbor's landscape with rocks, so I decided to climb the rocks. "Look at me, mom, I am climing up the rocks, it is awesome, mom".
